I’d like to thank you and your staff for your assistance in preparing me to enter the civilian job market. After 30 years in the United States Air Force I needed someone to de-militarize me and teach me how to brand and market myself in the civilian world. Your ability to analyze my strengths and weaknesses, provide coaching, and guide me through my transition was both self-discovering and fruitful as it led me into a career path I will enjoy.
I’m sure you’ve heard the Chinese Proverb ‘Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.’ Your processes taught me to “fish.” You could have just handed me my resume and pointed me to the door. But you didn’t. Under your tutelage, I learned to analyze myself, my professional experiences and actively participate in the writing of my resume and development of my interviewing skills, techniques and strategies.
The same goes for my marketing and networking campaign. Lisa taught me what I needed to do to get myself noticed in a pool of 100s of thousands of candidates. Her insight as to how professional networking sites are used was very intuitive and taught me how to setup my profiles to get the most exposure.
