Dear Bill,
This time last year, the last thing on my mind was the possibility that I might find myself suddenly without a job,
aggressively looking for new employment, and discovering that my skills in that
area had all but disappeared. In April 2011, when this occurred, I was
confident that, with my credentials, I would be reemployed quickly and this
life-altering event would soon be a fading memory.
After being called for only handful of interviews with no employment prospects eminent, my attitude changed,
my confidence faltered and my self-esteem disappeared. That was when I
responded to a post in Career Builders for your company. Professional
Development Strategies quickly helped me to regain belief in my abilities and increase
my feeling of self-worth. I started rebuilding the interviewing and networking skills
that I had lost with the constant help, guidance, and support of John Singer,
Keli Brinke, Ade Fitzgerald, and yourself.
When I reentered the job market with my
newfound skills, I almost immediately noticed an upswing in the number of first
and second interviews I was securing. Well prepared and confident I approached
each interview with renewed vigor. Even if not selected for a position, I was
sure that I had presented my experience and skills very well.
When I interviewed at Sunquest I immediately
knew it would be a perfect fit. When they offered me the position, I was
ecstatic because it was a leadership position in a brand new field. I had succeeded
in making the career transition that I had desired and discussed with you at
the start of our relationship. Since being with my new company, my feeling
about Sunquest continues to strengthen. It was the right career choice for me.
You all were there to help me on my journey of
reinvention. I have now found a career that has made me extremely happy and tremendously
challenged. My self-esteem has come out of seclusion as I realized people value
me for what I am and what I can offer. Without your help and guidance, I wonder
where I would be right now.
Warmest regards and thanks,
Lee Anne W.

Thank you for the sensible critique. Me & my cousin were just preparing to do some research on this. We got a book from our local library but I think I learned better from this post. I’m very glad to see such great info being shared freely out there…
First time here. I found this board and I find It truly useful; it helped me out a lot. I’m hoping to offer one thing back and aid others like you helped me
